Dr. Luisa De Faveri received her Bachelor of Science degree and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2009, graduating on the Dean’s Honours List. In 2008, Dr. De Faveri completed her ocular disease internship with ophthalmologists at the Scarborough Eye Associates and Bochner Eye Institute.
Dr. De Faveri enjoys getting to know her patients during the eye examinations and can often be found in the optical gallery chatting with patients as they arrive or when they come to pick up their glasses. She enjoys practicing all areas of optometry but particularly has a passion for ocular pathology and detecting diseases in the early stages as well as encouraging disease prevention. She thoroughly enjoys providing consultations for contact lenses and laser eye surgery, which both provide individuals with freedom from glasses. She also loves the fashion side of finding frames to suit each individual’s style and taste. Dr. De Faveri is an occasional clinical supervisor for student interns and values educating not only her students, but her patients as well.
In her spare time, you may see Dr. De Faveri at the park chasing after her three children and numerous nieces and nephews. She also enjoys travelling, sports, piano, and spending time with family and friends.
